HA HA!! I've had this conversation a few times. I'm a NYer and we also said punch buggy. Slug Bug is very much a west coast thing... I guess the ways of CA of rubbing off on me, lol. I'll confess I also say hella and soda now. (i think part of me cringes every time)
LOL! I've never heard of Punch Buggy... I grew up in Washington and it was always "slug bug" to me.

my man is from michigan and never heard of punch buggy either. he thought i was making it up, but thanks to schinders i have proof!!
