I love the Candyman!

So, want to hear about my super uneventful Halloween?  I bet you do!  After work I was determined to have a scary movie marathon under a blankie on the couch.  However, the guy was writing a paper in the living room.  So rather than sit there and bug him, I decided to catch up on house stuff.  Yep, I'm the boring person who got to celebrate by scrubbing my bathroom and doing the dishes.  We suck, we didn't even carve pumpkins this year.  I was so bummed about that.

One thing that did cheer me up about my less than festive holiday?  I could enjoy a fat free trick or treat bag!   I won this sweet little prize on Kym's blog.
Isn't it cute?  And guess what?! It fits in the palm of my hand.  You guys know my love of tiny things.

Good thing that's fat free, because this certainly isn't-
We are left with a ridiculous amount of candy because we didn't even get one trick-or-treater.  (Well, one but since she was a friend of ours who's in her 30s, that doesn't really count.)  I just think that is crazy!  It's not like we live out in the cuts, we have the corner house in a family neighborhood.  Weird, I think.

And just because I have this song in my head all of the time.  Especially when I think of candy.

I hope that you had enjoyed a fun, safe holiday!  Did you dress up or do anything fun?  Manage to catch the premier of The Walking Dead?  I caught a few minutes here and there, but not enough of it to register some sort of opinion.  Hoping to see the whole thing soon.

Have a craftastic evening!  Until next time, my lovelies...

Hellooooo Jackson. Aww, your lil trick or treat bag is SO cute! I love wee little things too.

Oh boy, it's like you told the story of my Halloween. Bo-ring! Didn't do anything all day, didn't even go buy candy to give out until like 4pm... chose the candy based on what my boss/friends like cuz I knew I wouldn't get many kids (and didn't) and I took all the rest into work this morning... so last night I sat on the couch and started more seriously plotting how to pull off this years handmade Xmas list... ugh (and ooh! at the same time, don't get me wrong, I love it, but it is like climbing a mountain sometimes). Your post this morning on facebook was perfect timing!
Thanks for keeping it real Jaq, life ain't always lollypops and eyecandy.
oxo,
Lisa

We didn't have any trick or treaters, either! The town organized the night for Saturday, not Sunday (and people listened?) and we didn't have our porch light on. How am I supposed to get rid of all this Laffy Taffy now?

Hmmmm,I hope that everyone's lackluster Halloween doesn't mean that it's dying out. Isn't it one of the best part's of childhood? Someday I hope to live some place with lots of kids trick or treating! I want to be the fun house on the block :) On a plus side, I have Sweet Tarts for days.

Lisa- handmade xmas is one heck of a mountain! but i'm attempting it this year too. we can egg each other on.

Sandra- thanks for the heads up! I have friday and saturday off, perhaps zombie cocktails are in order for my viewing, lolz.

Alyssa- yeah right, that's the first thing to go around here. although we have plenty of almond joys :)

Lorna- I feel your pain ;) I'm eating my treats too!

Relax- maybe that's what they did here? lame!
