Snapshot Friday!

Howdy, Folks!  Sorry I've been scarce this week, I've been a walking, talking zombie.  At one point I actually thought my brain had dissolved and was slowly leaking out of my face.  Between hacking and wheezing, I haven't had much time for anything else.  My feeble attempts at stitching were brought to an end when I realized I was doing more harm to my projects than good.  So I resigned myself to the couch and ridiculously long blocks of Law and Order.  Sad, I know.  Still sick, but now I feel like I can sit at the computer for more than 3 minutes without having to call in a Haz-Mat Team.

Anyways, enough about me, how have you been?  Doing anything craftastic lately?  I hope everyone is ready for Snapshot Friday.  We've got another oldie but goodie this week.

For some reason, the gal in this picture reminds me of Pippi Longstocking.  Remember her?  Even as an adult, I still smile when I think about her crazy house, Villa Villekulla, the monkey or sleeping with your feet on the pillow.  I can't wait to add the books and movies to my personal collection.  So far, I've spared my man the embarrassment of being in the rental place with me while I giddily scoop of these classics.  Grabbing them before some poor defenseless child even has the chance, laughing maniacally to myself- MUAH HA HA HA HA MUAH HA **hack**  **choke**  **cough**  Sorry, I got carried away there.

Thanks for looking!  I'll be back later with more fun stuff.

oooh, here's hoping you feel better indeed!

You've described a feeling I get often so well!!! I know that one of feeling like my brain is leaking out of my face.

Well, I am busy with the first set of experimenters on the experimental art e-course and they are making some AMAZING art and I have just launched the dates for the summer experimental art e-course! I am loving the whole journey!

i think it's the braids. have you seen a pippi movie lately? as an adult? i don't want to say they don't hold up, but....
but if you're just in it for the aesthetic, hells yeah. if you want a great movie, like you remember (because i loved them too), maybe just reread the books - which hold up very well.
feel better doll.

Amelia- don't you hate that feeling?! I'll have to keep an eye on your site, I'd love to see what the art e-course comes up with...experimentation is the best!!

schinders- yep, def. the braids. holy freckles too! yeah, it always sucks to re-watch things that you loved as a kid and realize how poorly they were actually made. I'm going to look around town at the used bookstores- there are a ton! and if i can't find em, i'm going to break down and order the big old school one that has a whole bunch of the stories. the movies are ridiculously expensive online... apparently there was a tv show too.

Hi Paige! Welcome and thanks for reading. Feeling much better, able to function and enjoy my existence much more :) This photo really has me inspired to make some pippi art... adding to the to-do list, i guess.
